Working with startups in San Francisco changed what I care about on a tech blog. Less “what shipped this week.” More “what broke, what cost money, and what I would do differently.”

Two IPOs and a Lot of Chaos
I joined two companies that IPO’d. That taught me more about why ventures fail than why they succeed. Early-stage chaos and public-company process need different instincts. I had to learn both, usually after the wrong one showed up first.
What shows up here
Web development I still touch — React, Vite, Bun, Cloudflare, static sites. AI tools I use for real work (Claude Code at home, Cursor at work). Occasional SF notes. Parenting when it collides with the rest.
That is the filter: experience first, commentary second.
