Site analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and understand how pages perform in real browsers. Cloudflare describes this service as privacy-first: it does not use cookies or local storage for Web Analytics, collect personal information, or fingerprint visitors.

Reading and interactions

Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine records a small set of actions that page views cannot explain: reading progress, active reading time, navigation choices, code-copy actions, and voluntary usefulness feedback. These events may include the page path, article ID, format, year, estimated reading time, primary tag, country, and broad viewport class.

Links tagged with utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, or utm_content may also record those campaign labels. The site accepts only short letters, numbers, and punctuation in those four fields. It does not store the full query string.

The custom event payloads do not include your name, form contents, email address, request IP, copied text, or a site-created visitor identifier. Analytics Engine stores Cloudflare’s country code rather than the request IP. Your usefulness response and optional reason stay in session storage only to prevent duplicate responses from the same tab. This site does not serve advertising or sell personal information.

If you use the contact form, the name, email address, and message you provide are delivered to me by email. I use that information only to respond.
